The Civil Service Training Institute is situated in Bhavanisagar Town Panchayat near Bhavanisagar Dam. Bhavanisagar enjoys an equable and salubrious climate. The town is in Sathyamangalam Taluk of Erode District. Bhavanisagar is about 72 Kms. north of Coimbatore and 80 Kms. West of Erode.It is situated at a distance of 16 Km from Sathyamangalam and 35 Kms. from Mettuppalayam on Sathyamangalam - Mettuppalayam Road. Mettuppalayam is the nearest Railway Station (36 Kms)

Trainees from Chennai, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur, Cuddalore, Viluppuram, Vellore , Thiruvannamalai,  Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Salem and Erode Districts can reach Bhavanisagar Via Erode, Sathyamangalam.

Trainees from Kanyakumari, Ramanathapuram, Sivagangai,  Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, & Tirunelveli Districts can reach Bhavanisagar Via, Madurai, Tiruppur, Punjai Pulliampatti.

Trainees from Coimbatore and the Nilgiris Districts can reach Bhavanisagar via Mettuppalayam.

Note: Frequent Buses are available from Erode to Sathyamangalam (Or Sathy) and from Sathyamangalam to Bhavanisagar.
